Natural remedies & lifestyle tips
- Daily breathwork or meditation, even 5–10 minutes
- Regular movement — walking outdoors is especially effective
- Limit caffeine and alcohol, both of which can worsen anxiety
- Stay connected — social support reduces stress hormones
Make it at home
Calm Green Tea Latte
- 1/2 teaspoon matcha or 1 green tea bag
- 1/2 cup hot water (not boiling, about 175 F)
- 1/2 cup warm oat or almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- Whisk the matcha with the hot water until smooth (or steep the tea bag 3 minutes).
- Heat and froth the milk, then pour it over the tea.
- Stir in the honey and sip slowly.
Green tea contains some caffeine, so enjoy it earlier in the day if you are sensitive to it.
Pumpkin Seed & Dark Chocolate Bites
- 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate (70% or higher)
- Pinch of flaky sea salt
- Melt the chocolate gently in a bowl set over simmering water.
- Stir in the pumpkin seeds.
- Spoon small mounds onto parchment, sprinkle with salt, and chill 20 minutes.
Pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate are both naturally rich in magnesium. Keep portions modest; dark chocolate contains caffeine.
